Loosening Mugabe's Iron Grip
Zimbabwean dictator Robert Mugabe has been in control of the country for 28 years, during which Zimbabwe, which used to be an agricultural producer, now is reliant on aid, unemployment has skyrocketed, and Zimbabweans have been pushed into poverty. This year, for the first time, an opposition candidate, Morgan Tsvangirai, has wrested control of the parliament from Mugabe's party, perhaps beginning the unraveling of Mugabe's iron fist of control of the country.
